As you know, at Extra Help we provide domestic cleaning and home help services. Our clients range from busy professionals, who have help with their cleaning and ironing, to our elderly and vulnerable clients, who have assistance with shopping, meal preparation and companionship …
We currently have a team of 28 home helpers, who look after 100 + clients in Plymouth and South East Cornwall. We have worked hard to become registered with Trading Standards, on both their Buy with Confidence and Support with Confidence Schemes.
“We are listed on the Plymouth City Council’s POD system, which means we also get referrals from Social Services!”
We have a lovely team of home helpers, who are all self-employed. They can pick and choose their hours to fit in with other commitments and can do as little or as much work as they like. All of our home helpers also have a DBS check and come with excellent references!!

Our team of home helpers has really grow over the past 12 months, with lots of new clients requiring our services. We aim to put the same home helper with the same client each week, to provide continuity of care, which is sadly lacking in many other care companies.
