May is going to be a very busy month for us here at Extra Help Head Office. Award ceremonies to attend, new franchisees to train alongside our suppliers and our quarterly group training, which is attended by everyone …

As mentioned in last week’s blog post, Clare Robinson was shortlisted for an award with our local newspaper, The Plymouth Herald. She was nominated for their Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The ceremony was held last week and was attended by the best in Plymouth’s business community.
We had a fabulous evening and all enjoyed getting dressed up for the occasion. We had champagne on arrival and singing waiters who were simply fantastic! Claire’s competition was tough and although she didn’t win overall, to be shortlisted from over 500 local businesses and to make the final three was a huge achievement

May also sees Claire, Sarah and myself attending the Encouraging Women into Franchising Awards 2014; which are to be held in London. I have been selected as a finalist in the Employee of the Year category, which I am thrilled about! We are all very excited about our London trip, watch this space to find out how the day goes!
At the end of the month we will be back in Milton Keynes as we have more new franchisees to train. This is always good fun and I love sharing our passion for Extra Help with others. The new franchisees enthusiasm and eagerness to learn is always lovely to see. At the end of the week, all of our existing franchisees will join us for the day, for ongoing training. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get together, discuss ideas and celebrate successes.
It is certainly going to be a very busy and exciting month and one I’m really looking forward to!
