As mentioned when we last blogged, Extra Help recently held its Annual Conference in Bristol.
This is a major event in our calendar and a very exciting time for our franchisees, as well as us! This is not just because of the conference but, also, this is when we announce the winners of the Extra Help Awards.
Why are awards so important?
Our annual awards are a show of our appreciation for our franchisees’ hard work throughout the year. They’re designed to recognise and reward those individuals who have exceeded expectations and gone the extra mile. We know that our success relies upon our franchisees’ performance and we can’t wait to acknowledge their successes each year, celebrating with them at our annual awards ceremony.
This year, we decided to not only base our awards on merit, but also ensure they reflected the values Extra Help upholds as a company:
WINNER: Luda Kuliabko, Extra Help Plymouth
All Extra Help franchise owners must exhibit remarkable strength, especially when first becoming a business owner. However, Ukrainian- born Luda was chosen to win this award due to her determination to keep her business running successfully, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine and suffering personal family losses.
WINNER: James Shanker, Extra Help Surrey East
When you invest in a franchise, you’re in it for the long-term, in the hope that it will become your passion, as well as your vocation. James has been with Extra Help for over 7 years and is our longest-standing franchisee. During this time, he has demonstrated exceptional longevity and determination to grow his business.
WINNER: Julie Vernon, Extra Help Telford
Genuine compassion is a value that all Extra Help franchisees hold dear to their hearts and is essential in our line of business. However, the winner of this award, Julie, proves her high level of compassion time and time again, going above and beyond to care for her clients. She showed exceptional compassion when she personally provided companionship to a terminally-ill client of hers ensuring she wasn’t alone when passing.
- Ambition
WINNER: Sam Bee, Extra Help NW Leicestershire
Whilst ambition is a quality that all successful Extra Help franchisees share, there are some who really aim for the stars! Sam, the winner of this award, has demonstrated huge ambition, taking on any challenge she has faced, and has grown her business to new heights this year.
WINNER: Zaynab Donoghue, Extra Help East Herts
Whilst Extra Help is a franchise you can
grow at your own pace, some franchisees really hit the ground running from the outset. Zaynab has only been with Extra Help for a year, yet has already demonstrated an impressive level of growth, due to her excellent marketing skills and desire to achieve success.
WINNER: Denise Cooper, Extra Help Leighton Buzzard & Hemel Hempstead
When working in the home-help industry, it’s essential to be passionate about our business, what we do, who we help, the causes we support and the journeys we go on with our clients. Our winner of this award, Denise, has demonstrated huge passion for Extra Help and all it brings to local communities. As the owner of two Extra Help franchises, she’s considered one of our most experienced franchisees and is also responsible for training and mentoring new recruits.
WINNER: Claire Rickson, Extra Help Taunton
The nature of our work means that being committed is essential and non-negotiable, in order to uphold Extra Help’s high moral standards.
Claire has demonstrated an impressive level of commitment to Extra Help, her clients and team. She works tirelessly to ensure clients always receive their services, regularly stepping in to cover for absences, when necessary. Since winning this award Claire and her partner Paul have decided to personally take an elderly client of theirs who receives regular home help each week, to see her sister who lives many hours away for the weekend, a 400 mile round trip, one she never thought she’d be able to make again. She’s made two elderly ladies very happy indeed!
And last but by no means least…..!
WINNER: Cath Arnold & Carol Godding, Extra Help Wirral
This award is designed to recognise, reward and celebrate an exceptional franchise within the network that consistently delivers outstanding results, their passion and determination to succeed setting them apart.
Carol and Cath have been the owners of Extra Help Wirral for over 6 years and, during that time, have built a thriving and lucrative business. They are our most successful when it comes to recruiting staff, bringing on clients and increasing their number of billed hours. They have demonstrated great strength, tenacity and ambition and their passion for and commitment to Extra Help is always evident.
It was so wonderful to be able to get together to celebrate our franchisees’ achievements and show our appreciation of their hard work. Congratulations to all of our winners!
